BTX Injections help diminish fine lines and wrinkles to give your skin a smoother and more revitalized appearance. It is particularly effective to treat wrinkles around the eyes and the forehead.

Facial movements and expressions such as smiling or frowning cause the formation of a groove beneath the surface of the skin. With ageing skin looses its elasticity and is no longer able to recoil back in place and these grooves become permanent. Injections act to paralyze the target muscles, which relaxes them and leads to a smoothing out of wrinkles on the skin surface. Sometimes the additional injection of fillers is needed to get a perfect result.

Consultation and Treatment

Photographs are taken and the face is carefully assessed during relaxation and with activated facial muscles helping create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. BTX is then injected into predetermined points in the face using a very fine needle.

After the BTX has been administered cooling packs to the treated areas will help reduce any swelling. Strenuous physical activity, exposure to excessive heat and saunas should be avoided for one day after treatment.

The effects of having BTX injected usually become apparent after 3 to 4 days and last most often between 3 and 9 months.
