The Times Higher Education World University Rankings provide the definitive list of the world’s 800 best universities, evaluated across teaching, research, reputation and more. These rankings are trusted by governments and universities and are a vital resource for students, professors and patients. Dr. Dalia Tobbia is excited to see that her home universities scored excellent in those rankings:
The University of Toronto, where she received the first two years of her plastic surgery training, scored a superb 11th place of all medical universities worldwide and scored in the top 10 in teaching, research and citations. The second half of her plastic surgery training she spent at the University of Göttingen, which scored an excellent 78th place worldwide and finished in the top 20 in teaching and research. Her Alma Mater, Trinity College Dublin, was ranked number one in Ireland and took 160th place worldwide being in the top 10 in international outlook and in the top 20 in teaching. During her medical studies she also spent several attachments at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Swedens number one university which is ranked 13th worldwide and is placed in the top 10 in teaching, research and citations. The University of Tokyo, where Dr. Dalia Tobbia spent two visiting fellowships to deepen her knowledge in Supermicrosuregry and Lymphsurgery, is number one in Japan and is ranked in 42nd position worldwide and is in the top 10 in research and teaching.
