About Rejuran

Rejuran therapy includes polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRNs)–chains of nucleic acids that play a critical role in cellular repair and regeneration. Extracted from salmon DNA, these PDRNs are biocompatible with human skin and have been shown to stimulate collagen production, enhance tissue healing, and improve skin elasticity. (2)

Unlike conventional fillers that simply add volume, Rejuran targets the underlying cause of skin aging by boosting the skin’s regenerative processes. Rejuran delivers PDRNs directly into the skin through a series of microinjections to refresh your natural appearance without the need for more invasive surgery. Rejuran is especially effective for treating:

  • Fine lines
  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Dull skin
  • Mild skin laxity
  • Wrinkles

Rejuran vs. Dermal Fillers

Although Rejuran injections can improve the quality of your skin, they are not effective at replacing significant lost volume. If you would like to increase the volume of the cheeks, temples, and/or lips, we can combine your Rejuran treatment with dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are injectables that add beautiful, natural-looking volume beneath the skin. We can address multiple areas of the face during a single appointment to improve facial balance.

Benefits

Rejuran therapy offers an array of advantages that set it apart from traditional skin treatments. (3) Rejuran offers several benefits for patients, which include:

  • Skin Rejuvenation: Raising your skin’s collagen levels can help it repair itself to diminish signs of aging.
  • Improved Skin Elasticity: Increasing your skin’s collagen levels can improve the elasticity of your skin for a firmer, more youthful-looking appearance.
  • Smoother Skin: Rejuran can soften fine lines and wrinkles to create a smoother look and feel.
  • Minimized Pores and Scars: Rejuran can reduce the visibility of acne scars, discoloration, and enlarged pores to refresh your appearance.
  • Natural-Looking Results: By stimulating your body’s own healing processes, the results of Rejuran appear natural.
  • Minimal Downtime: As an injection-based treatment, patients do not have to face a lengthy recovery and can resume their normal activities soon after their appointment.
  • Long-Lasting Results: Some patients can enjoy the benefits for 6 months or longer.

Rejuran therapy appeals to a broad range of patients seeking to improve their skin’s health and appearance. Patients who benefit most from this treatment are typically those who:

  • Are experiencing early signs of aging.
  • Would like to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Have an uneven skin texture or tone.

Personal Consultation

The first step in achieving healthier-looking, more radiant skin with Rejuran therapy is scheduling a personal consultation with Dr. Tobbia. During this appointment, Dr. Tobbia will assess your skin’s current condition, discuss your concerns and goals, and review your medical history to ensure Rejuran is appropriate for you.

Based on this detailed evaluation, Dr. Tobbia will design a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. She will also explain what to expect during the treatment process, the number of sessions recommended, and the anticipated timeline for results. This consultation is an opportunity for you to ask questions, and Dr. Tobbia can also recommend other treatments if you have additional aesthetic goals you would like to address.

Preparation

Dr. Tobbia will provide a personalized set of instructions to help you prepare for your treatment. To prepare, she recommends that patients:

  • Limit alcohol and nicotine consumption: Reducing alcohol consumption and refraining from smoking can enhance healing and the results.
  • Stay hydrated: Proper hydration supports skin health and helps improve the quality of the skin before treatment.
  • Keep the skin clean: Arrive at your appointment with a clean, makeup-free face.

Following these basic guidelines will help ensure a smooth treatment experience and maximize the regenerative benefits of Rejuran therapy. She will also provide additional instructions during your consultation based on your medical history and specific treatment plan.

Procedure

Dr. Tobbia will begin your Rejuran treatment by cleansing your skin thoroughly and applying a topical numbing cream to improve your comfort during the procedure. She will then administer the Rejuran solution beneath the skin with fine microneedles.

The injections are typically administered in a grid-like pattern to ensure even distribution of the rejuvenating solution across the treatment area. The process usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Patients may experience temporary redness or swelling immediately after the procedure, but these effects are temporary and generally resolve within a day or two.

Recovery

Recovery following Rejuran therapy is typically minimal. Some patients experience mild, temporary skin irritation and/or swelling afterward that typically subsides after 24 to 48 hours. Most patients can return to their normal routines afterward as long as they avoid excessive sun exposure that could damage their skin. We may recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise and harsh skincare products for a few days. Dr. Tobbia and her team will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions for optimal results.

Results

Salmon Sperm DNA (Rejuran) Plastische Chirurgie am Klosterstern, Dr. Dalia Tobbia

Most patients begin to notice improvements in skin texture, hydration, and elasticity within a few weeks, with full results becoming more evident after a series of treatments. Dr. Tobbia typically recommends a series of 2-4 sessions spaced approximately 4 weeks apart, followed by touch-up appointments every six months. Over time, patients can enjoy:

  • A smoother, more even skin texture.
  • Improved skin elasticity.
  • Fewer fine lines and scars.

Corresponding Procedures

Dr. Tobbia often recommends corresponding treatments for patients who have additional aesthetic goals.

Wrinkle Relaxers

Botox is a neuromodulator that reduces the production of acetylcholine to relax the facial muscles, preventing fine lines and wrinkles from forming. Patients who receive Botox can enjoy smoother skin and a more youthful-looking appearance. When used in conjunction with Rejuran, Botox can help you maintain your results for longer by preventing wrinkle-forming muscle movements. Most patients return to the office every 3-4 months for touch-up appointments.

Chemical Peels

While Rejuran can help your skin cells regenerate, it does not exfoliate the skin. Some patients choose to combine Rejuran with a chemical peel–a topical treatment that exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin cells, brighten the skin, and diminish signs of aging. We offer several different types of chemical peels to refresh your skin and address different aesthetic goals.

Depending on your treatment plan and aesthetic goals, we may recommend scheduling a chemical peel as a separate appointment, and we can discuss any questions you have during your consultation.

Cost of Rejuran in Hamburg

The cost of Rejuran will depend on the number of sessions you need and the size of the treatment area. We will provide a detailed cost estimate during your consultation.
